Why it exists
For ten years I've tracked every dollar I spend in spreadsheets. It works: I know exactly where my money goes. But it takes hours every month, and every money app I tried reported my spending its way, with its categories, its idea of what counts, and its view of a month.
money.fluin.io is the app I wanted instead. It adapts to you: your banks, your categories, your report. You get the clarity of a spreadsheet you built yourself, without building it.

What it believes
- It adapts to you, not the other way around. Categories are whatever you call them, and suggestions learn from the ones you confirm. Any bank's CSV works, and once you've shown it a format, it remembers.
- See the whole picture. Your checking account pays your credit card, and your credit card pays Amazon. Follow the money across all of them and count only what actually cost you something.
- Report it like you would. Categories by month in one grid, the way you'd lay it out yourself, with every number clickable down to the purchases behind it.
- Your data is yours. No bank passwords. Your suggestions come from your own model, trained only on your confirmations. Delete everything whenever you like.
What it does today
Importing
- Built-in support for Wells Fargo, American Express, and the Amazon Order History Reporter.
- Any other CSV is detected automatically: header rows, extra lines above and below the data, date formats, and one signed amount column or separate money-out and money-in columns. Confirm the columns once and that format imports automatically from then on.
- Duplicates are skipped, so overlapping statements are safe to import.
Categorizing
- Suggestions from a model that learns from each category you confirm.
- Confirm or change many purchases at once.
- Built-in categories keep money from being counted twice: Transfer (between your own accounts), Duplicate (a card charge whose details came from another import, like Amazon), and Reimbursed (spending someone paid back).
Reporting
- Spending by category and month for any date range, with totals.
- Select a month, a category, or a single cell to see exactly which purchases make it up.
Pricing
Free for up to 1,000 purchases imported in any 12 months, which covers most households' everyday spending. For more, unlimited imports are $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year.
